Poetry, Prose, Readings

When someone dies, we feel sadness and loss and have to find our own way through our grief as time passes. There are some comforts to be found and one of them lies in the fact that that person’s influence is going to continue to be felt for a very long time

Poetry, prose and other readings are a way of family and friends to express grief, remind everyone of some of the characteristics of the person who has died, and to provide comfort.

A piece of poetry or prose can also be easier to read than a personal story about the deceased, and therefore is a way to allow those who might not otherwise feel able to do so, to speak publicly.
